Hillsborough Farmers' Market - Meet the Producers

We are really looking forward to bringing you the first Hillsborough Farmers Market of summer 2019 this coming Saturday 10am to 3pm, 25th May, on Dark Walk at Hillsborough Fort.

Here is a list of the confirmed traders so you can start your shopping list:


-              Amberline Farm – fermented foods and syrups

-              Ballyriff Buffalo Farm – grass-fed buffalo meat

-              Bara Bakehouse – artisan sourdough breads

-              Buchanan's Farm Shop – small-batch cured bacon, handmade flavoured sausages, hand pressed burgers

-              Burren Balsamic – flavoured balsamic burgers

-             Castlescreen Farm - wee cows, BIG BEEF

-              Cherryvalley Farm – freshly grown vegetables

-              Grain & Co – artisan baked cakes using heritage grains and seasonal fruits reducing sugar in the cakes

-              Harnett's Oils – cold pressed rapeseed oils

-              Indie Füde – cheesemonger specialising in Irish artisan cheeses, charcuterie, biscuits and butter

-              Jack's Fudge – handmade small batch fudge

-              Ke Nako Biltong – a South African dry cured meat delicacy. Ideal for snacking.

-              Lecale Harvest – seafood and meat pates

-              Mange Tout Artisan Foods – French patisserie, tartes, cakes, quiches and sausage rolls

-              Mrs Smyth's Preserves – fermented foods such as kimchi and sauerkraut, seasonal fruit preserves and marmalades

-              Refuge Hot Chocolate – the best hot chocolate you can find to have at the market or take home in jars

-              The Local – small batch made preserves, pickles, chutneys and savoury jams

-              The Parson's Nose / The Poacher's Pocket – homemade brown breads, cakes, sausage rolls, jams and marmalades

-              TOM & OLLIE – mezze stall with olives, sundried tomatoes, chargrilled peppers, hummus and pestos, charcuterie, biscuits, Irish and continental cheeses

Musical stylings kick off with Jackie Rainey from 10:30 until 12:30 and Who Owns Ye make their return to Hillsborough, taking over from Jackie from 12:30 through to 2:30.


We’re trying our best to get rid of single use plastics, so please don’t forget your reusable shopping bags.


Facepainting Belfast are on board. They use Qualatex latex balloons for their modelling, which are made from 100% natural latex and decompose as fast as an oakleaf in your back garden. They’ll also be adding a splash of colour to Dark Walk with face painting from 11:00 to 2:00.
